MEET ME!

The Obvious…

Hello there! I am a high school student in Canada who is passionate about all things Engineering and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math).

I love going to all sorts of clubs, events, and workshops to continue my adventure in learning about the amazing world of STEM!

UPDATE: Hello there again! I’m still a passionate learner about all things STEM, but am no longer in high school (I graduated, woohoo!). I am now a Software Engineering student at the University of Waterloo! I’m so happy to be at my dream program (since childhood!) exploring my future profession for deeply, while still keeping track of my discoveries here in this blog.

Sports…

Enough of academics though! Another really big thing about me is my favourite sport; badminton. While I’m not the most athletic, badminton is the one sport that I can give someone a run for their money. I mainly started out playing on my driveway with my dad, especially after the courts closed down due to the pandemic. Whenever the weather is nice (or even not-so nice at times), we head outside and play. I also played on the school team in high school which was very exciting, and gave me goals on what to improve on. Nowadays, I hit the UWaterloo CIF courts with friends in between courses. Overall, I’m always up for a match…so don’t underestimate me!

On the topic of sports, I also play table tennis. I originally started playing when the weather is bad, and badminton is not an option, but was pleasantly surprised to see ping pong tables at my residence. I don’t play super often, but I’m hoping to improve as time passes.

Family & Travel…

One thing very important to me is my family. I spend time with them everyday (edit: when I’m not drowning in the university workload) , so they’re a really big part of my life. We typically enjoy going out on walks, and even drives!

Speaking of driving….I love travelling! My dad, a traveller at heart, often takes us to various places. Out of the 12 countries I’ve been to (can you guess which ones?), my favourite is definitely Iceland. The scenic views are unforgettable!

As of recently, I’ve actually been exploring all the things Waterloo has to offer (read: the student deals and cheap restaurant coupons are getting to me)! There’s admittedly not much here, compared to big cities like Toronto, but it’s nice to appreciate all the small things about my hometown, especially with the new friends I’ve been making in my program, who are new here.

Puzzles & Me…

When I’m not out innovating or at school, you can find me in my room. Specifically my bed. What do I do there? Well, you can often find me listening to music while reading and doing puzzles.

I love almost all kinds of books, of any genre! Lately though, I’ve been into thriller and mystery (even at the cost of more-paranoid-than-usual nights) or funny comics when I need a brain break.

I also have an almost unhealthy obsession with puzzles…Wooden puzzles, metal puzzles, logic puzzles, word puzzles….Did I say puzzles?

P.S. ❤️❤️ I love kitties…. ❤️❤️
